First Time I Saw You

The first time I saw you
I was scared. I really didn't want to stare
but I knew there was something there.

My heart said one thing 
but my mind said another;
let me think about us being with each other.

I stared and stared 
until finally I caught you staring.
It was actually worth waiting.
      
To hold you and kiss you 
and cherish these days that
I'll take with me some day.
